Collaborative Instruments

research

Collaborative music practice has been central to my work from the beginning. A current research project focuses on prototyping collaborative systems using a live-coding framework, exploring performer agency, interaction strategies, and visual feedback.

Within therapeutic and educational institutions, music is widely understood as an effective way to support socialization and self-expression, particularly as populations age. This project explores how musical interaction can support intergenerational play.

Building on existing literature, we developed a set of design principles and are currently prototyping multiple instrument concepts to support mixed-age musical interaction.
